Our most popular sport kite is turning 20, and we've created the coolest Quantum yet to mark the occasion! This special edition kite features a nearly all-Mylar sail accented with strategic bursts of color for a stunning look both up close and in flight. For 20 years the Quantum has proven itself as the ultimate all-around sport kite for beginner to experienced fliers. Over time we've made lots of small tweaks with new colorways, sail graphics, fittings and bridles. But this year we wanted to try something new to celebrate its 20th birthday, and it’s finally here: the Mylar Quantum!

If you aren’t already familiar with the Quantum, it’s everything you need to get started and learn sport kiting basics, with the technical chops to keep up with you as your skills progress. If you only plan to buy one sport kite, the Quantum is definitely the best bang for the buck you’ll find in any full-sized kite.

We built the Quantum to be as tough as possible to keep up with the abuse new fliers dish out, with a tough carbon frame, Kevlar sail reinforcements, and specially designed fittings - including a shock absorber on the spine - all engineered to help your kite bounce back from any  “unplanned landings.” The new all-Mylar sail flies whisper quiet, with the perfect balance of pull and controllability in an impressively wide wind range.

Comes ready-to-fly with everything you need: Dyneema flying lines, winder, flight straps and a nice travel sleeve that protects the folded kite at full or half length. If you really want to get noticed, pair your Quantum with a 75-foot tube tail (sold separately) and trace your flight path with eye-catching calligraphy that’s sure to attract a crowd!

DESIGN FEATURES:

Crash protection for new pilots
Our innovative shock absorber in the tail and Kevlar-reinforced nose are designed to protect your kite from those unplanned landings.

Advanced tuning
A special bridle feature allows you to adjust the kite’s responsiveness for your skill level. Start flying with the forgiving setting. For new pilots this provides easier control and wider turns. As your skills advance, switch to the radical setting for snappy cornering, stronger pull, and more advanced tricks.

Adjustable bridle
The bridle geometry is easy to fine tune for light to strong winds. It’s not necessary to move your bridle from the factory setting, but doing so will let you fly in an even wider wind range. Simply slide the friction knots toward the “light wind” setting for lighter breezes or towards the “strong wind” setting for windy days. Limit points on the bridle will keep you from over-tuning the kite out of flying range.

Two-piece leading edge and spreaders
Lets you fold the kite down to 36" to fit in a suitcase or backpack.

Custom molded leading edge connectors
Engineered to flex with the leading edge, these special ferrules prevent breakage at the stress point.

Color-coded line attachment clips
Make it quick and easy to hook up your lines, no knots required.
