I've flown the SkyDogs Diamond 3-Train this week... had a good northwest wind of about 12mph here in Dorchester, Ontario.
Assembling the kite was not a problem. After looking at the lines on the separate handles, I opted to use my dual-line foil set with wrist straps. That way I would know that my lines were even and could fly the set easier, I reasoned.
And I was right. I can't imagine how to fly that set without a set of good lines. It took me a little while to get my dual-line skills back (I've been flying my quad all winter in South Padre Island, Texas) but I got the feel of it and enjoyed flying it for about two hours. A number of passing vehicles slowed down to enjoy the colours up in the sky as it put on a good show.
I would recommend it for kiters who have some basic dual-line kite skills and done a little flying with a dual-line stunt kite ... but not as a beginner set.
